Gary Vaynerchuk has built an online presence with YouTube, Q&A shows and the “GaryVee Audio Experience.” His value-packed interviews with thought leaders and experts in personal branding, marketing and business are the basis of this podcast.

Why we like it: Although Gary V is a leading voice in marketing—he often offers valuable insights and actionable advice—recently, his podcast content has been straying away from marketing topics and heading more toward self-help. It’s an entertaining listen, well produced and offers valuable chunks of Gary’s own wisdom, but his new direction is why he isn’t higher on our list.

9. Marketing School Podcast

The Marketing School Podcast is a 10-minute way to start your work day. Hosts Neil Patel and Eric Siu bring you actionable digital marking lessons, tips, strategies and ideas ranging from the future of SEO and strategies for entering new industries to business mistakes. Their ideas can be implemented into your marketing tactics, no matter the field.

Why we like it: Most marketers have heard of this podcast from SEO guru Neil Patel. The informal chat between Neil and Eric makes for a practical listen, especially as it’s a 10-minute breakdown of useful tips and strategies. Neil is a pro at cranking out content, and this short-form podcast usually hits the mark, but sometimes leaves us wanting more. While they do keep their fingers on the pulse on the latest trends in digital marketing, we find it less engaging compared to some of the other podcasts on our list, which is why it ranked 11th.

8. Marketing Meetup

The Marketing Meetup Podcast is “an audio series by marketers, for marketers.” A space for marketers to come together to share stories, learn from one another and find inspiration, this podcast features live talk recordings, interviews and discussions. Host Joe Glover has worked to build a global community of over 50,000 marketers and interviews new speakers each week.

This podcast was recommended by a former VeraContent podcast guest who had the opportunity to meet Joe Glover and speak at one of his conferences.

The CMO Podcast sees Jim Stengel interview CMOs of today’s most successful companies. Why we like it: Jim Stengal’s own experience as former CMO of Procter & Gamle combined with his great interview style is what sets this podcast apart. He’s able to talk to CMOs on their level and ask the right questions. His interviews are personal and down-to-earth, making this an easy listen with advice and stories that help the listeners hear firsthand experiences from top execs of large companies.

3. Ahrefs Podcast

The Ahrefs Podcast is hosted by Tim Soulo, Ahrefs’ CMO. In each episode, Tim interviews industry leaders in the world of online business and digital marketing. From topics like what is and isn’t working in SEO and marketing strategies you need to try, the team at Ahrefs believes there is always something to learn, and you might as well do it together.

Why we like it: Ahref’s CEO Tim Soulo is super knowledgeable in his craft and a great interviewer, which makes this an easy listen with a lot of value behind it. It’s similar to The CMO Podcast, but we give it a slight edge thanks to its well-done video production for YouTube and its greater focus on specific digital marketing technologies and tactics.

2. Marketing over Coffee

The 20-minute Marketing Over Coffee marketing podcast keeps you up to date with social networks, search engine optimization, email marketing, copywriting, offline marketing campaigns and industry FAQs from the listeners. Hosts John J. Wall and Christopher S. Penn record the podcast weekly in a coffee shop. Why we like it: We love a coffee break, making this a perfect complement to our mornings. It’s a favorite among marketers we talked to and has featured industry A-list guests like Seth Godin and Ann Handley. Even though the production is simple, the quality of the interviews is fantastic, and they always touch on incredibly relevant topics.
