Milo Van Boeijen’s bold decision to start his own camper van rental business in the south of France may have seemed a little off-the-wall at the time. But in the end, it worked wonders for his creativity and ultimately opened his eyes to the importance of marketing as a catalyst for sales enablement.
Fast forward to today and he’s now the director of marketing for the EMEA/APJ regions at MarkLogic, a leading operational and transactional Enterprise NoSQL database provider with over 2,500 customers worldwide.
In today’s episode Shaheen Samavati sits down with Milo to talk about the challenges of managing marketing campaigns for multiple regions and the vital role both sales enablement and local teams play in crafting targeted strategies to improve the company’s bottom line.

- Useful book: Crossing the Chasm by Geoffrey Moore. “It talks about how you can bridge the gap between the early adopters and the mainstream audience and how you can position yourself from a software vendor perspective in order to get there.”
- Favorite app: Spotify. “I’m a big music fan and I always have music playing so Spotify is a big one for me.”
