Project Manager for Global Content Marketing Agency

VeraContent is a multilingual content agency specializing in the creation and localization of content for brands operating in different language markets. We offer content creation, creative translation, social media localization and design services to companies worldwide, with a focus on European markets. 

As a Project Manager at VeraContent, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for several of our ongoing client projects. A Project Manager is fully responsible for making sure those projects are delivered on time, within budget and that they meet client expectations. A key part of the role also involves coordinating and supporting a team of freelance and in-house writers, translators, community managers and designers. This role reports to the Lead Project Manager, who leads the project management team.

Key Responsibilities

– Building positive client relationships by being proactive in understanding and meeting clients’ needs

– Managing budgets and setting freelancer rates for each assigned client content project in order to meet revenue and profitability goals

– Onboarding new projects, assembling the right team, and setting up and maintaining efficient workflows

– Creating easy-to-understand assignment briefs that accurately reflect client expectations and requirements

– Providing ongoing training and feedback to freelance and in-house linguists so they continuously improve, and adapt to each projects’ needs

– Documenting the details of each project and its status via our internal project management software

– Keeping linguists and designers accountable to meeting deadlines, allocating hours to projects and completing quality checks

– Participating in initiatives to improve processes and promote knowledge sharing across the department, in coordination with the Projects Coordinator

Requirements

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, in order to communicate with clients and team members.

– Previous experience in content or social media marketing (agency or in-house).

– Great writing style and professional editing ability in at least one of our core languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Dutch.

– A strong interest in growing as a project and people manager.  Previous experience or training in project management is highly valued.

– A motivated self-starter who is always looking to grow, learn and improve.

– Communication: Able to nurture and develop client relationships in both English and Spanish. Able to comfortably liaise with a variety of linguists, while providing clear, coherent instructions for different projects. 

– Critical thinking & creative problem solving: Able to consider an issue from multiple perspectives in order to find the solution best suited to the situation at hand. 

– Proactivity: Able to anticipate potential complications or problems, and going above and beyond to make creative suggestions and propose solutions before being asked. 

– Attention to detail: A stickler for accuracy, and a demanding editor. Always double checks work, whether that’s editing, emailing or inputting data into our project management system.

– Curiosity: Taking a genuine interest in every new project or challenge. Going the extra mile to fully understand the topic or issue at hand, especially before creating a brief or making an assignment.
