Freelance Social Media Manager & Content Strategist (Native-level English) 

VeraContent is a multilingual content agency specialized in creating and localizing content for global brands. We offer content creation, marketing translation, social media localization and design services in multiple languages to companies operating worldwide.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Strategist with native-level English to work on an ongoing client project. The client is a money transfer company, looking to create content for migrants living abroad and sending money back to their family members.

This role entails:

  • Creating a monthly content calendar for a global Facebook and Instagram account in English, in line with the brand’s social media strategy
  • Managing social media content and interacting with users on an ongoing basis
  • Creating monthly reports and proactively proposing changes in the social media strategy, including creative campaigns and actions, based on those results

Main tasks:

  • Creating and collaborating with the project management team on social media strategy for the English-speaking community
  • Creating the social media calendar for an English-speaking community of global migrants, taking into account current events and trends, and focused on topics related to financial security, financial education and the reality of living away from home. 
  • Creating social media content from scratch and working hand in hand with graphic designers and video content creators to create multimedia content. This involves helping with creative briefs and crafting scripts for short-form videos for Instagram Reels. 
  • Participating in creative brainstorms with the other social media managers and creators involved in the strategy. Trying out new methods and strategies to grow engagement and follower count, with different content types, campaigns and promotions.
  • Staying ahead of trends and best practices both on Facebook and Instagram to propose trending, high-performing content that can be easily executed with the means available. 
  • Scheduling posts throughout the month on Instagram (approx 4-6 weekly posts/stories) and Facebook (approx 4-6 weekly posts/stories)
  • Managing social media content and interacting with users on an ongoing basis (understanding and adhering to social media best practices)
  • Creating monthly KPI reports and adjusting strategy as agreed with your project manager 
  • Sharing feedback/insights about the community
  • Keeping in contact with the project management team at VeraContent on a regular basis

What we’re looking for:

  • Native-level English, with excellent writing and communication skills (US spelling is preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with managing social media accounts, and understanding of best practices for brands on Meta
  • Previous experience working for social-impact organizations such as NGOs will be highly valued, although it’s not a must. Availability to work a minimum of 6-8 hours a week for this project.
