Venezuela-native Adriana Carles’ career in marketing started straight out of university, where she has since worked in various marketing roles in different companies and continents. So far, Adriana has lived and worked in the US, Venezuela, Chile, Austria and Germany, where she is currently the head of content and social media at e-commerce company Visual Meta.
Having had to adapt to different cultures, roles and companies throughout her career, Adriana’s approach to life and marketing is a continuous journey of learning. And she applies a similar approach to content marketing, comparing it to a marathon—emphasizing that it’s important to understand that results don’t come overnight, because engaging audiences and gaining customer trust are long-term strategic goals.
During the interview, Adriana chats with Kyler Canastra about adapting to work in different countries, the importance of creating relevant content, managing creative teams, hacking content marketing, using emotion and storytelling in B2B marketing, and where she gets her creative inspiration.
